Our Movie Opening

Week 9

This week I spent it uploading all my creative critical reflections onto blogger and making final touches. I went through all my PowerPoint links and made sure that they worked when they were clicked on. Also, I went to all the videos and made sure that they played, and they weren't private. I also accidentally uploaded my creative critical reflection podcast twice instead of my YouTube interview skit. When I went to upload off my phone to YouTube, I didn't have enough storage no matter what I tried to delete. I problem solved and uploaded the YouTube skit to my OneDrive account and then I downloaded it to my computer. After I took my downloaded video and uploaded it from my YouTube on the computer. After I could directly post it onto Blogger. I am going to upload the movie opening now! :)

WEEK 8

My fourth and final creative critical reflection is a PowerPoint. The question I answered with the PowerPoint is, "How did you integrate technologies- software, hardware and online- in this project?"  Creating the PowerPoint: The reason I wrote my script before I started to make my PowerPoint was because I used the script to help me layout my PowerPoint slides. Basically, on the slides I added minimal detail, basically just words and pictures that corresponded with what I would talk about. This way the person listening would have visuals to look at, but they would have to listen to what I was saying instead of just being able to read the slide and already knowing what I am going to say. If I wrote out all the information, I was going to say out on the PowerPoint it would be boring for the viewers listening in on what I have to say. Filming: On PowerPoint there is an option to record straight on the app, so I didn't have to record me talking on a separate app and then hav...

Week 8

The third creative critical reflection I am going to film is the YouTube video. The question I am going to be answering in it is, "How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?" Filming: Since I already had my script written, I was ready to start filming. I had to make up different characters to interview. Since I didn't have other people with me, I had to be all the characters. When I first started filming, I filmed every scene with normal YouTuber me first. Then I changed into my outfit for Alyssa, then Rockelle, and then Gemma. That way once I was done filming, I could go through each of the 5-character clips and clip them so that only the parts I needed were on my phone.  Editing: After I clipped all the clips together, I opened CapCut and put all the clips in order that they fell on the script I made. After I looked for images that related to what my characters were talking about in the interviews and then saved th...

Week 8

Today I am going to work on my movie poster with a voice over. The apps I am using for the poster is PicsArt and ibisPaint X. Here is my final product of the movie poster:  Editing:  My first step in editing was cutting out the girls in the original photo to paste onto my poster. It took me about 6 minutes total to cut out the girls. Next, I had to find a good position to place them onto the poster. After I positioned them in the middle of the poster, I typed out the word "Caged" and then looked for a font that I thought would fit the aesthetic of the poster. After I looked up examples of real-life movie posters, and my main inspiration for the words at the bottom was the Jaws movie poster. After I cut out the picture of a tiger and added it to the background to look like it is praying on the girls. After all the words were done and colored, I added shading on ibisPaint X to the girls faces and added shadows to the girls and the tiger. It adds a mysterious affect to the ...

Week 8

The movie opening, the creative critical reflections, and this whole blog is due on Monday April first. This week my main focus was getting my creative critical reflections done.                                                                                                                                                               Today I am going to film my podcast which is answering question number three, "How did your production skills develop throughout this project?" My mom and I are going to film. Basically, t...

Week 7

Finally, I am writing my script for my last creative critical reflection. For my 4th and final creative critical reflection, I am going to be doing a PowerPoint with a voiceover.  CREATIVE CRITICAL REFLECTION 4: Question: How did you integrate technologies- software, hardware and online- in this project? Script:  Slide 1:    The most important tool besides a computer that helped throughout this project had to be a flash drive.    The flash drive was like the brain of this whole thing.   Without the flash drive, there was no project because it had all the audio files on it, the different clips we had to put together, sound effects that we transferred into an Mp3, and the finished movie opening.   Slide 2:   My group and I had to be very careful when it came to our flash drive. If we lost it, we would be in deep trouble because all our progress would be lost.    For example, if we were completely done with our movie opening, ...

Welcome Alyssa!   -some kind of transition-   Alyssa- *Rude Popular Girl Smacking Gum- Umm thanks, I guess.    Me- How did you come across “Caged”   Alyssa- Well I was scrolling on TikTok, and I saw ...
