Day Two of Filming week 5

Our second production day was on Monday February 26, 2024. Peyton, Meadow, Ella, Sydney, Ella's dad (Clayton), and I arrived back at Big Cat Habitat to finish our filming. We all arrived at 4:30. The equipment we ended up using again was just the steady camera holder. We decided to arrive around the same time to make sure the lighting would look close to the same as the first production day. The first scene we started with was with Ella's dad jumping out and confronting us. Since that shot was filmed as a Point of View shot in my character's point of view, I stood behind a fence that was off-screen and signaled to Ella's dad when he should pop out. I would look at where the girls were stepping and when they were close to a line on the pavement in front of the gift shop I would signal a thumbs-up to Ella's dad to jump out. Then we filmed the chasing scene at different angles for the next 30 minutes. After we went to shoot the scenes of us locking ourselves into the cage to escape. We decided that after the camera cut to black, we would then cut to meadow crawling up a hill in agony calling for help. We decided this would also lead our audience to have other questions like where are the rest of us, and did we survive? It will lead them to want to watch the rest of our movie if there was more. Ella is the director. The rest of us are actors, but we all collectively as a group decide whether the clips and angles are good enough for our movies. We finished filming around 6:30. Our production time on the final day was 2 hours. At the end of this filming day, my group and I reviewed the clips we filmed, and we were impressed! We were all excited to start editing and to see our final product at the end. Now we are going to start to edit and merge the rest of the clips together.

WEEK 8

My fourth and final creative critical reflection is a PowerPoint. The question I answered with the PowerPoint is, "How did you integrate technologies- software, hardware and online- in this project?"  Creating the PowerPoint: The reason I wrote my script before I started to make my PowerPoint was because I used the script to help me layout my PowerPoint slides. Basically, on the slides I added minimal detail, basically just words and pictures that corresponded with what I would talk about. This way the person listening would have visuals to look at, but they would have to listen to what I was saying instead of just being able to read the slide and already knowing what I am going to say. If I wrote out all the information, I was going to say out on the PowerPoint it would be boring for the viewers listening in on what I have to say. Filming: On PowerPoint there is an option to record straight on the app, so I didn't have to record me talking on a separate app and then hav...
